I just love this program and have for many years. Right now it's being used on a mac (10.8.4) and have had no issues whatsoever playing files of any type. It has played every type of file I have thrown at it. IMHO it beats quicktime, hands down.

couldn't get the previous version to play some flv files I had on disk. Hopefully that issue has been resolved in this version

It works and it does more than the Mac OS X included application, but it's a pain to use and time-related functions don't seem to work well.
